At six, I wanted to be a chef in the daytime and an astronaut at night.

Today, though I love cooking, I've never been to space. Instead, I use my creative and analytical skills to find information and share insights with others.

With Python, I search for, analyze, and visualize data to use in journalism. I also help not-for-profits understand their data and impact.

Some recent projects:

• Data-driven article mapping One-Stop Centers and county-level unemployment data in the U.S.
• Interactive maps about the risk of automation in different U.S. industries.
• Some practice mapping geographic data using GeoPandas.
